Once again we all want’s to say to our hockey team “Chak de” . To glamorize and help financially to hockey players many bollywood stars are visiting today in city beautiful sector 42 Chandigarh. We would see hockey match between Bollywood stars vs hockey stars . It will be one of interesting watching movement for our city.

This event is organizing by AMR foundation Mumbai, Danik Bhaskar, Chandigarh Administration and also with contribution of Haryana Government. In this event there will be two teams bollywood stars vs hockey stars. Four matches of twenty-twenty minutes will be played between hockey players and bollwood stars. The Famous bollywood star Dharmendra who is also known as “He Man” in film industry will Guest Of Honour. Event will begin at 5 PM.

Before starting of match famous Punjabi comedian Bhagwant Mann entertain the people. And at the ending of match organizer giving surprise to viewers as live performance by famous Punjabi singer Babbu Mann . Organizer announce free entry for general stand but in VIP stand only pass is recognized.

Wish you Happy Republic Day from WatchChandigarh [Dot] Com team. Its 61st republic day of our nation. Its really pride able day for all of us. India declared itself a Republic on 26th January 1950. It is celebrated in all over India but in New Delhi it is celebrated with great pomp and pageant.

As capital of India “New Delhi” is always attraction point of all Indians. At the occasion of Republic Day Delhi is decorated like a broom. As like every year flag hoisting ceremony was done by Hon’ble President of India followed on Republic Day Parade from Raj path. As every year a grand parade is held in the capital, New Delhi, from the Raisina Hill near the Rashtrapati Bhavan (President’s Palace), along the Rajpath, past India Gate and on to the historic Red Fort. The different regiments of the Army, the Navy and the Air Force march past in finery and official decorations. South Korea President Lee Myung-bak is Republic day 2010 Chief Guest of India.

But in our city Chandigarh this Republic Day was also special for all of us. The advisor of UT Administrator Pardeep Mehra flaged Triranga and take the salute of Chandigarh Police, Chandigarh Home Guards, road safety wing, Punjab Armed Police and Haryana Armed Police. prade ground. The event of Republic Day in parade ground was inaugurated by him. The parade also includes many traditional dance troupes, to symbolize the cultural heritage of India.

Run Chandigarh in First City Marathon

“Run For The Spirit Chandigarh”

On 31 st Jan First City Marathon is going to host by Chandigarh Administration with the help of Running and Living Infotainment. After this event our city will listed in Indian Marathon Cities.

Athletes from Ethiopia and Kenya are also going to take part with city people in this run. Runners need to run total 42km in 135 minutes (2 Hours 15 Minutes). There will be 3 different races in this race full race of 42km, half of 21km and 5km race.

5 km race will start at 9.30am from Rock Garden to left through Uttar Marg road to Sukhna lake right turn to Hira Singh Circle to go Punjab Raj Bhawan, take U-turn from golf workshop gate back to Rock Garden from same route.

Full Marathon will start at 6.30am early morning start from (1)Rock Garden to right from JanMarg Circle to Punjab High Court and back U-turn to Jan Marg Circle, right to CM residence again back to Jan Marg Circle. (2)Then it will go right to Matka chowk and once again U-turn to JanMarg. (3)Left to CM Residence again then straight back to Rock Garden though Jan Marg. (4)It will be continues down to Sukhna Lake left to Hira Lal Circle. (5)Left to golf course through Vigyanmarg again left at T Point. (6)Right from T point to CGA, Again right to CGA boundary to KrishanGarh Village Up to Lake joggers path. (7)Left though 2.5 km lake path to Uttar Marg. Back to Rock Garden gate right to finish line.

The Map for Half Marathon is not yet released by Administration.

CTU Fare Rises on Local Routes

Once again Chandigarh Administration decided to raise fares of CTU local route buses. Now you have to pay five rupees extra for five kilometer in non – AC bus and ten rupees for above ten kilometer. In AC buses ten rupees for five kilometer and fifteen rupees for five kilometer above.

Rising of fare also effect the holiday pass. Now you have to pay thirty rupees for holiday pass which was twenty rupees from several years. There is no changes for student and employ pass.

Last time the fare changed in 2006. According to CTU officer from non – AC buses running on local routes getting lose of approximate twenty crore yearly. From this fare changing decision Administration will reduce there seven crores lose yearly.

According to Administration after applying fifth pay commission there is 10% growth in salaries of CTU staff, and there is also raise in costing of maintenance of buses. Thatwhy govt needs to raise the fare.

Chandigarh Administration going to build a new phase named “Mini India” in Rock Garden. This new phase also going to builds by waste material like all other pasts are builded.

Rock Garden phase 3 will be flash with new lights, with this new lighting system it will help for night activites. Every weekend there will be special program organise to attract more visitors.

On 14th Januray, Chandigarh admistrator, SF Rodrigues will inaugurate the new aquarium at Rock Garden. You will find colourful and different type of fishes at this new aquarium.

Never Been So Cold Our Chandigarh

Good morning everybody,

As you know this year Chandigarh was so cold as never before. As we like to enjoy the fog in evening time, thats feel us like we are living at any hill station.

Yesterday was the coldest day of our city. The temperature not goes up 10 degree. This year winter is breaking its own old records. This Saturday was the coldest day of the January in last ten years. Condition is that there is less difference between maximum and minimum temperature. Sun tries to clear fog but its fail all the time.

People face cold breeze and fog in the morning, 10 am temperature is just 10 degree. On 11 January 1999 city recorded is 8.2 degree, so there 1.2 degree difference in that.

Due to dense fog the city traffic was slow, most of people like to be stay in home and enjoying hot coffee, pakoda, samosa etc.

It always organized at “Zakir rose garden” Asia’s largest rose garden in city sector 16. The Layout of the Sacramento International Airport

There are two terminals in the Sacramento International Airport. These are the original terminal building and the new terminal built in 1998. The total area of the airport building is 5,500 acres. Starting in June of 2006, and lasting until 2012, the old Terminal B is being renovated and will be replaced by a new building. After 2012, the airport will be completed and will be able to take in even more air traffic.

The airport is set up in such a way that the best way to navigate it is to simply walk through it. The fact that there are only two terminals makes it easy on passengers. When a passenger arrives at the airport, they can consult the signs to find the ticketing agents. After they have their ticket, they can follow the signs to the correct terminal. Once at the terminal, the gates are clearly marked, as well.

Terminal A has several gates. Terminal B is currently separated into two concourses, each of which has several gates. The international flights currently arrive at a separate area, which is called the International Terminal, an offshoot of Terminal A.
